Call Center / Customer Service
Job Purpose
CenturyNovelty.com, one of the fastest growing pure play e-retailers of party supplies, favors & decorations, currently seeks a Telephone Customer Service & Sales Representative for their Livonia, MI Corporate Office. This is a great part-time opportunity for a College student, recent graduate, or anyone looking for extra income selling fun party supplies and favors.
Duties
ˇ Assist customers by answering questions about products and orders via telephone and email
ˇ Help customers make selections by building customer confidence, while offering suggestions and opinions
ˇ Guide customers click-by-click through the Website using Microsoft Internet Explorer and the telephone
ˇ Work on projects and other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
ˇ Desire to provide excellent customer service
ˇ Confidence in using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
ˇ Previous retail customer service/sales experience. Call center/telephone service a plus
ˇ Fast and accurate typing
ˇ Excellent written and oral communication skills
ˇ History of punctuality and good attendance
ˇ Basic computer and phone knowledge
ˇ Ability to defuse difficult customers by utilizing strong negotiation skills and appropriate empathy
ˇ Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly evolving, team environment
ˇ High school diploma or equivalent a must
ˇ Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
ˇ Must be flexible with schedule. Call center is open M-F 8AM-8PM.
ˇ No cold calling or telemarketing is involved
ˇ This is not a management position
ˇ Must pass a skills test of the previously listed qualifications
ˇ Must complete/pass a criminal background investigation, credit check and drug screen prior to hire.
