jennyb, Atlantic IA We used these for a classroom Halloween party of 22 kids. They were a huge hit....the kids loved layering the sand(most of them left room at the top so they could shake the sand and mix it:). I bought 3 jars of the sand from the website as well, and this filled 25 necklaces perfectly. I also purchased some of the sand funnels. We did stations and had 5 + kids per group, so I bought some of the squaty clean plastic cups from a local store and had two cups of each sand color with spoons in them so they all could have a color at the same time and not have to take turns passing the sand around. I covered the table with a table cloth for easy clean up, which I highly recommed. The kids were 2nd graders, so they were pretty much able to do this all by themselves with guidance which was very nice. My only complaint was a couple of the lids would not screw on the necklance and one had a pin hole in the bottom. I bought a couple extra luckily. I would suggest taking along a hot glue gun, just in case some wouldn't screw on you could glue them??? Great fun, highly recommended. |
