Freak369, US Glue Dots. Oh how I love thee. You're super handy and always there when I need you. Yes, that might sound a bit extreme but Glue Dots are one of the coolest things around. What is a Glue Dot? Imagine taking a glue stick and cutting it in to wafer thin pieces. Then take them and put them on a roll or on a sheet – that is a Glue Dot. They can be used for a plethora of things from crafting to doing minor repairs on ceramic tile. I have used them on a lot of different things but there are some things that these are clearly not meant to be used on. With that being said, there are a lot of different Glue Dots; these are designed for crafts hence the word "craft" on the sheets. Glue Dots can be used on almost any type of paper except anything with a deep texture. If you are working with something that has a deep texture try pressing the Dot in to it then adding whatever you are trying to stick to it on to the Glue Dot. This will also work with glitter and embossing powder but you have to press the glitter or powder on to it and then use a sealer to get it to stay in place. If you buy the sheets of Glue Dots you can use a hole punch to create shapes; that comes in handy if you are working with items that are smaller than the Glue Dot. Just slide the Glue Dot in to the punch and press out the shape; make sure you have both sides of the Glue Dot covered with the adhesive backing paper or it will get stuck in the cutting blades of the punch. Some hand held punches will be too small to cut evenly though the Glue Dot so results aren't guaranteed. |
